Mexican-American clarinetist and conductor Juan Morales is an active performer based in Houston, Texas. As a recent recipient of the Mendelssohn Chamber Award at the International Mendelssohn festival, Juan was selected to do a series of recitals in Europe from cities including Berlin, Barcelona, London and Nice.

Juan pursued his bachelors at the University of Houston under the guidance of Randall Griffin. He later continued his studies under tutelage of David Sapadin and Kliment Krylovskiy. While continuing his professional studies he was selected to participate in music festivals such as Zodiac Music Festival touring in the mountains of Côte d'Azur, France and also, with recent participation with the Berlin Opera Academy as principal clarinetist.

With latest news Juan became a Semi-Finalist for the National Coltman Chamber competition as part of the Locrian Clarinet Quartet. While also becoming a soloist and principal clarinetist of the Camerata De Bardi Van Nederland based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

In addition, Juan has participated in numerous masterclasses with clarinetist such as François Draux the principal clarinetist of Cannes Orchestra, Stojan Krkuleski principal clarinetist of Luzerne Sinfonie, Mark Nuccio principal clarinetist of Houston Symphony, Richie Hawley, Yehuda Gilad, and Guy Yehuda. He has also conducted fellowships with the Berlin Opera Academy assistant conducting of the productions of Hansel & Gretel. Also a proud member of the SPHINX organization advocating for diversity in major orchestras in the United States.
